Cage –

The cage for a ferret should be at least  24″ x 24″ x 18″ high in size. But if you can have a bigger cage than this it will be ideal as they need space to roam. So, remember the bigger the better for your ferret.

Make sure to place soft bedding like a towel or any soft cloth also install a hammock where they can relax and sleep. Also, it is important to have a litter box in the cage and lastly make sure to have water and a food bowl for them

Cage placement-

Do not place the cage in a tight closed room. Instead place it in a well-ventilated room and do not place the cage directly under the sunlight. 


They are strictly carnivores and they need high-protein diets. You can give them chicken, lamb, beef, mice, etc. Can give them kitten food whose primary ingredient must be meat. And do not feed them fibrous food that is plants and fruits. They are not capable of digesting plant-based food. 


Ferret is slightly smelly naturally as they have scent glands. Do not bathe them every week or so as their skin will get dry and it will produce more oil which can make them more smelly.
